In fact, right now I’m reading Jodi Picoult “Plain Truth”, which is excellent, and I’m in the middle of No Logo- But, your book list is much like mine for the summer, at least 7 out of those books were already on my list! A couple other books that I’ve heard good things about are: The 100-Mile Diet, Cool It! and The Sexual Politics of Meat.
Sexual Politics of Meat is a Feminist Vegetarian critique. I think that you would find it interesting, it has me seriously considering vegetarianism. I had to read parts of it for my bodies, gender and consumption class this year. I think that “In Defense of Food” will only re enforce this possibility!
